Meet The Team
Avionics Team Members
The MSP Aero avionics team has extensive experience in avionics, including maintenance, inspections, installations, and troubleshooting for all types of aircraft, from business jets, to helicopters to piston engines. Combined, the MSP Aero avionics technicians have nearly 250 combined years experience, which remains unmatched in the region.
The owners, Lynn Boyd, Aaron Sylvester and Mark Taverna, have worked at a repair station located on the MSP airport their entire careers. Most recently, this was GDAS, which specialized in business jets and helicopters, where they were nationally known as the preferred avionics team for their problem solving abilities.
Lynn specializes in product knowledge, and has an unsurpassed reputation with all the vendors. Mark is a highly experienced avionics system draftsman, making drawings highly defined and understandable. Aaron’s attention to technical detail makes him the perfect Quality Control Manager.
Frank Nook has over 30 years experience, especially with twin and single piston engine aircraft, managing several repair stations at a Flying Cloud airport. Frank is certified in both avionics and as an A & P Mechanic. Bill Wallace also worked at GDAS, and is a craftsman with sheet metal, working in the aviation industry for over 30 years. Michael Hymes training comes with his military background with the Army National Guard. Jim Swanson also worked at GDAS in the purchasing department and has over 25 years of experience in the aviation industry.
